Joel Wenger, European
Patent Attorney and electronics engineer.
After fifteen years of working in the industry he has acquired
a rich industrial experience in the field of electronic
development. He worked for ABB in Baden in the data encryption
sector, for ABB in Sécheron as a hydroelectric power
plant process control programmer, as group development manager
for Landis & Gyr in the field of payphones, and as an
independent consultant in the development of a STIWELL muscular
stimulator (more than 1,200 units sold).
In 1995, Joel Wenger left development for the intellectual
property profession by joining Katzarov S.A. in Geneva.
As part of the editorial staff of the well known Katzarov
Handbook, he became familiar with procedures in a large
number of countries. After three years training, he successfully
passed the European Patent Attorney qualification examination.
In 1999 he took charge of the patent department of Griffes
Consulting, an intellectual property firm in Geneva, and
the department enjoyed substantial growth under his command.
In May 2001, he became head of Leman Consulting. His tasks
also include running training courses both in client companies
and for international projects.
Pierre Roulet, Electronics
engineer, specialist in electrometry. His 23 years of industrial
experience were acquired in various areas, including hearing
aids (LECTRET Ltd), CAD/FAO for printed circuit board production
(EIE Ltd), and connector technology as head of the technical
office (LEMO Ltd) in addition to his experience in providing
engineering support to clients in the payphone field (Landis
& Gyr SA.).
His drafting skills combined with his knowledge of industrial
products enable him to understand inventors quickly and
put their ideas down on paper.
Joël Nithardt,
European Patent Attorney, microtechnical engineer. After
a first professional experience in the Swiss federal capital
as an engineer, he entered the intellectual property field
in 1992. He quickly became involved in all aspects of the
profession. His achievements include managing the trademark
department within his company, preparing and defending patents
in numerous sectors such as medical instrumentation, microtechnology
and mechanical engineering, implementing protection strategies,
clearance studies and patentability analyses, setting up
a patent and trademark search service, preparing documentation
for client use, running training courses in this area for
entrepreneurs and project managers, and acting as a jury
member for the Start-up award for innovative projects. In
2002, he joined Leman Consulting where he continues to pursue
his patent, design and training activities.
Donata Campiche,
European Trademark Attorney. Donata Campiche, after obtaining her
law degree in Fribourg, Switzerland, in 2000, specialized
in trademark law within one of the greatest Italian IP
firms, Ing. Barzanò & Zanardo,
in Rome (Italy). Then she joined the trademark department
of the Bacardi group in 2005, in Geneva. Her international
background enabled her to get a very good knowledge of
the international and European systems of trademark registration
and protection as well as to make the most of her skills
in the French, Italian and English languages.
Ernie Odoom,
Electronics Engineer, specialist in Semiconductor
IC Design. Ernie obtained his BSc in Electronics and Electrical
Engineering from Glasgow University in Scotland. In his
twenty-year experience in the semiconductor industry, mostly
with Motorola, Ernie has seen all aspects of the business
from manufacturing and test through design of digital and
analogue circuits and systems for applications from telephony
to motor car engine management. More recently Ernie worked
as a consultant for a start-up company in EPFL (Swiss Technical
University) on a set of very novel memory designs before
joining Leman Consulting in 2007.
Alain Bandi trained in the domains of electrical and mechanical engineering before obtaining his Engineering degree in Geomatics from the Engineering School of the Canton of Vaud. For the next six years he worked for the Lausanne based company Bobst in their Patents Department, where he was able to acquire a rich experience in the field of design and development of packing and printing machines. In 2002 he obtained the CEIPI Diploma in Patents of Invention from the University of Strasbourg. He left the industry in 2004 to join an Intellectual Property Practice in Geneva where he was in charge of the portfolio for a major client active in the development of laser machining. He enriched his skills by dealing with inventions in the domains of watch-making and medical apparatus. In 2011 he joined the team at Leman Consulting where he started work in the domain of digital security, mainly in relation to signal processing for Pay-TV applications.
Where would our company
be without its administrative team?
Our four assistants Diana, Nathalie, Emmanuelle and Marlène, are crucial to the smooth running of our company and their skills and knowledge are constantly called upon. Daily involvement in intellectual property matters, allied with an internal and external training policy, enable them to successfully carry out their mission.
